Nominations FAQ

To be eligible to become a ‘supercar therapy’ co-pilot, nominees must meet the following criteria:

Currently diagnosed with a life-threatening condition, meaning a progressive, degenerative, or malignant condition that is placing the child’s life in jeopardy

Between the ages of 3 and 18

Absolutely not! Our generous event partners, volunteers, and drivers all rally together as a community to make these once-in-a-lifetime experiences possible at zero cost to our co-pilots and their family members.

Our events last anywhere from 4 – 8 hours. We provide meals, snacks, and drinks along the way.

When will the Driven Project be visiting my city?

Our team is extremely committed to bringing #supercartherapy to every child who is in need of a boost on their journey battling critical illness. We announce new event locations in our email newsletter and on social media – be sure to join us for the ride there, and don’t hesitate to drop a comment on our Instagram account to suggest which city we should bring the Driven Project to next!

The Driven Project has multiple options for children in wheelchairs on the day of the event. To ensure we are fully prepared and can provide the best experience for your family and child, please contact us directly and let us know ahead of time how we can make the event as inclusive as possible.

The supercar ride aspect of our events is only a portion of the experience. In addition to an array of surprises and treats for the children throughout the day, our events also feature a stationary segment that offers every child the chance to explore the supercars up close!

The number of family members allowed to attend events changes on a per-event basis. Prior to all events, invites will be sent out with information, including the number of plus ones allowed. Parents of the child will, of course, always have an invite.

To respect the privacy of families we serve, children who may be eligible to participate in a supercar therapy experience can be referred by:

  • Children being treated for a critical illness
  •  Medical Professionals such as providers (doctor, nurse practitioner or physician assistant), nurse, social worker or child-life specialist
  • Parents or legal guardians
  • Family members with detailed knowledge of the child’s current medical condition
